I have a feeling that not many of you agree with me on this one, but I think it’s pretty cool when the attraction stops. Sometimes if you’re lucky you’ll get escorted backstage, which is always interesting to see. It might not be as fun as the ride itself, but you’ll remember that experience every time you choose to ride.

I got stuck on Splash Mountain at Disneyland almost before the drop for 45 minutes.  I almost went crazy listening to “How do ya do? Mighty pretty greetin . How do ya do? Say it when yer meetin. How do ya do? With everyone repeatin. Pretty good sure is your born.” Until they eventually turned the sound of… then it was the CLACK CLACK of the animatronics. We eventually got escorted off the ride and given a fastpass to any other attraction. Its cool to think of now but it seemed like an eternity when I was stuck.
Also… I’m terrified of the bridge in the Temple of the Forbidden Eye.. I’d probably cry as a full grown adult if we got stuck there.

I LOVE it when attractions have technical difficulties! (For the most part, haha.) I was in a swinging gondola on Mickey’s Fun Wheel at DCA (my first time in a swinging gondola rather than the stationery) and I felt so sick from swaying back and forth for a good 20 minutes - at the top of the wheel! I did get a lovely view of the park during that time, however!
My favorite memory was when The Haunted Mansion was experiencing technical difficulties earlier this year. My boyfriend and I had just come down from the descent into the graveyard and were stuck for a good 30 minutes or so. They turned all the lights on and I was absolutely fascinated with my surroundings! I felt like a kid in a candy store. It was also funny, because there was a guest a few Doom Buggies away who asked the team to turn off the AC every few minutes, it was getting cold in the graveyard. When they eventually let us walk through to the end of the attraction, we passed the cold guest and the poor guy was directly under the AC, which was pretty chilly, haha!

One time I managed to get on Indie for the first ride of the day, and none of the animatronics or sounds were working, so I just started screaming out the music and Indie theme at the top of my lungs, and making sound effects. I managed to recite most of the lines too. People in my car cheered along and one guy even thanked me when we got off. Shit was awesome.
